Meet the team

Hey there, I'm Yvonne 'Yvie', the Founder of InstructED. I have a Masters in Teaching and over a decade of experience as an English, Humanities and VCE History teacher. I have also worked as a textbook and resource writer for Edrolo and delivered professional development for my fellow Historians through the History Teachers Association of Victoria.

You could say I have a passion for education. I believe it is the single most necessary thing to changing and improving our world. For a long time I witnessed the outstanding work of school educators, but I have also seen the immense pressure, high class numbers and underfunding faced by our schools.

This is where InstructED comes in! My firsthand experience with the demands and pressures of the educational system inspired me to create a space where private tutoring is executed perfectly to complement and enhance school learning. At InstructED, I lead with a vision of personalised, effective education, striving to empower students to excel both inside the classroom and beyond.

Hello, I'm Madeleine! I have been a passionate English and Drama teacher for the past four years, and have over six years of experience supporting VCE students in their tuition.

I have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English and Theatre Studies, and Creative Writing from the University of Melbourne, as well as a Master of Teaching. I am committed to fostering student confidence and developing learners' skills, empowering them to engage thoughtfully and creatively in their studies. I love seeing my students achieve their goals!

Alongside my classroom practice, I have directed numerous school productions and work as an independent theatre-maker, performer and writer.
