01 About the Role

We are a small, premium online tutoring service working with high-achieving students in Years 9–12 across VCE English. We operate entirely via Google Meet, and every tutor we bring on genuinely shapes who we are as a business.

This role is best suited to a qualified teacher or experienced VCE tutor who is looking for a professionally supported, flexible engagement — without the overhead of running their own independent practice.

  • Deliver personalised, one-on-one English tutoring sessions.
  • Design and adapt individualised lesson plans that respond to each student's goals, strengths, and areas for growth.
  • Track student progress across sessions and adjust your teaching approach to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Complete a brief post-session progress form after each lesson to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with students and parents, communicating proactively and with care.
  • Bring creativity and genuine engagement to every session — your job is not just to teach content, but to build confidence and independent thinking.
  • Offer constructive, encouraging feedback that helps students develop both their skills and their self-belief.
  • Be available for sessions during agreed-upon hours, which may include after-school hours and weekends.

You must have

  • Teaching qualification (completed or current enrolment)
  • Valid Victorian WWCC
  • VIT registration or equivalent
  • ABN (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong VCE English knowledge
  • Reliable computer & internet
