Tutoring Inclusions & Fees
What your child receives, and what it costs.
Every InstructEd student receives far more than a weekly lesson. This page sets out exactly what is included in your child’s tutoring, alongside our current fees, so you can see the full scope of support behind each session.
What’s included
Your weekly fee covers a complete program of support, not simply the time in each session. Every student receives the following:
Weekly one-on-one session
A live, fully personalised lesson with a qualified, experienced specialist in English or History, planned entirely around your child.
Session preparation
Reading your child’s set texts, planning each lesson, and creating tailored activities and resources matched to their current units.
Feedback and marking
Detailed feedback on practice essays and between-session tasks, marked thoroughly so your child knows exactly how to improve.
Support between sessions
Email questions answered between lessons, so support does not stop when the session ends.
Study resources and materials
Unit-specific study guides, templates and resources, included at no extra cost. Many of these are otherwise paid products on our website; InstructEd students receive them as part of their program.
Progress reporting
Quarterly progress reports giving you a clear, detailed picture of your child’s development.
A note on session length
A session is the visible part of a much larger body of work. The preparation, marking, resource creation and planning behind each lesson remain the same whether a session runs 45 minutes or a full hour. For this reason, our fees reflect the complete program of support, rather than the lesson time alone.
Our fees
Fees are charged per student, per week. Your fee depends on your child’s year level and whether they learn one-on-one or as a pair (two students in one session, such as siblings or twins).

Two in a class: where two students learn together in the same session, such as siblings or twins, each student is charged the per-student rate shown above.
Group options
Beyond one-on-one and pairs, we also run occasional group intensives, such as exam crams, masterclasses and writing workshops, and we are developing further small-group options. Groups larger than two are arranged directly with us, so we can be sure teaching quality stays high. If a group option might suit your family, you are warmly welcome to enquire, and we will be glad to talk it through with you.
GST
At this time, InstructEd is not required to be registered for GST, so no GST is currently charged on lesson fees or services. Should GST registration become necessary as the business grows, families will be notified in writing in advance, and GST will be applied from that effective date in line with Australian Taxation Office requirements.
